Just before going to “Lord Krishna (Vishnu) (Rama) most beautiful images (pics) with meaning“, let us have some brief information.

Yashoda Nandana = Yashoda + Nandana = Yashoda Devi + Son = Son of Yashoda Devi.

Little Krishna – The Biggest chitta chora, Hridaya chora, this means, someone who steals the hearts.

We can’t find a bigger chora then this chotu Krishna (little Krishna) in ananta ananta ananta brahmanda (unlimited universes). 

Today we will learn various forms, avatars and other various images of Lord Sri Hari / Sri Krishna / Sri Rama / Sri Vishnu in the below images with the meaning.

Left: Krishna is called ‘Navaneeta Chora’ as he was stealing Butter (Navaneeta).

Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) been served by various Devatas starting from Sri Mahalakshmi Devi, Sri Brahma Deva,

Sri Hanuman, Sri Rudra Deva, Sri Narada Maharshi, SRi Indra Deva, Sri Garuda Deva, Sri Shesha Naaga, Sri Brungi

Lord Shiva is also called as Dakshira Murti, as Lord Shiva’s right side (Dakshina) Bhagavan Sri Vishnu will be there.

Lord Sri Krishna / Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) is known as ‘aatma kaama’.

This means, he doesn’t need anybody’s support. He is satisfied by himself.

Sri Krishna with his two consorts Sri Rukmini Devi and Sri Satyabhama Devi.

Both Sri Rukmini Devi and Satyabhama Devi are Goddess Lakshmi avatars.

Bhagavan Sri Narayana (Vishnu) is everywhere.

There is no place in this unlimited Universes where Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) is not present.

Other Pancha Pandavas Sri Yudhishira, Sri Bhima, Sri Arjuna, Sri Nakula and Sri Sahadeva are praying Sri Krishna.

Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) in his Sri Lakshmi Narasimha avatar.

In this avatar Sri Mahalakshmi Devi will always be with Bhagavan and thus Bhagavan is called as Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy

Sri Krishna is known as Sri Muralidhara, as he will be holding the Murali / flute in his hands.

Also Sri Krishna is known as Sri Govinda as he is the controller of Go (cow) and ‘in’ means, all the indriyas and ‘da’ means controller.

Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) along with his consorts Sri Devi (Sri Mahalakshmi Devi) and Sri Bhoodevi (mother earth)

Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) in his Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Svamy avatar. Bhagavan killing the rakshasa Hiranyakashipu.

Here Bhagavan is called as Sri Shankha, Chakra, Antra maala dharam.

This means he is holding Shankha, Chakra and also wearing the ‘antra’ / intestine of Hiranyakashipu.

This shows the Greatness of Bhagavan. No one should go against the Great Sanatana Dharma.

This is the time when nothing would be existing in the unlimited universes.

Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) will take a form of a young baby.

At this time Sri Mahalakshmi Devi will be praying to Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) to start creating the new unlimited universes.

During this time, Lord Vishnu is known as Lord Sri Narayana (Vishnu).

Here Narayana = Nara + Ayana = Water + Resting (Staying). This mean, Lord Narayana is someone who is staying (resting) on water.

Sri Krishna along with his main consort Sri Rukmini Devi in the Dwaraka and other consorts (Divine wives).

Sri Krishna at the age of 2 years. This pratima / statue is called as Sri Udupisha or Sri Udupi Krishna.

This can be seen in the place called Udupi (in Karnataka).

For the very same pratima, Sri Rukmini Devi used to do the pooja everyday in the Dwapara Yuga in the Dwaraka. (Sri Madhwacharya Ji is doing pooja).

Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) in his Sri Srinivasa / Sri Venkateshvara / Sri Balaji avatar.

This is the same pratima / statue one can see in the Tirupati today. This statue came down to earth directly from Sri Vaikuntha.

Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) sleeping on the Sri Kshirasagara ocean of the Sri Vaikuntta.

Along with Bhagavan we can also see Sri Mahalakshmi Devi, Sri Brahma Deva and Sri Aadi Shesha Naaga.

This form of Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) is known as Sri Padmanabha as from Bhagavan’s nabhi / navel Sri Brahma Deva takes birth.

Also Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) is known as Sri Shesha Shaayi, as Bhagavan is sleeping on the Sri Shesha Naaga.

This is the special form of Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu), where he shows that half of his own body and half is of the Sri Rudra Deva / Sri Shiva’s body.

But we should always remember that Bhagavan Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) is different and Lord Shiva is different.

Sri Krishna is shown here as Dwarakadhisha.

This means, someone who is holding the place called Dwaraka.

Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) is known as Sri Aatma Kaama. Here Bhagavan is doing the meditation of himself and no other being or thing can satisfy him.

Only one who can satisfy Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) is himself. That’s why Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) is known as Sri Aatya Kaama.

Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) in his Sri Shankha, Chakra, Gadha Dhari form.

He is holding Shankha, Chakra and Gadha and is sitting down on the Sri Aadi Shesha Naaga.

This form is called as Sri Chatur Bhuja form of Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu).

This means, he is someone who is having the ‘Most Beautiful Four Arms’.

(One should remember that Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) is having infinite number of arms and that form of Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) is known as Sri Virat / Sri Vishva Roopa avatar.)

In this form Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) is holding the Sri Shankha & Sri Chakra and is sitting in the Padmasana form.

Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) in his Sri Rama Chandra avatar with his bow and arrow.

One of the meanings of Sri Rama is ‘the most beautiful’ and ‘the most attractive’.

Here also Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) is sitting in the Padmasana form and holding Shankha, Chakra, Gadha and Kamala.

Right: This is also the same form where Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) is along with his consorts Sri Sridevi (Sri Mahalakshmi Devi)

and Sri Bhoodevi (mother earth) holding the Shankha, Chakra, Gadha & Kamala and sitting in the Padmasana form.

The difference is in the eyes of Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu). Here the eyes of Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) is much bigger than the earlier one.

Sri Rama Chandra Prabhu along with his consort Maata Sri Sita Devi.

And off course the great bhakta of Sri Rama, Sri Hanuman is at the lotus feet of Sri Rama.

One should always remember that Sri Mahalakshmi Devi’s any form or avatar should always be on the left side of the Bhagavan.

And Sri Hanuman / Sri Bhima / Sri Vaayu Deva should always be on the right side of the Bhagavan.

Because these are the places allocated by Bhagavan for Sri Mahalakshmi Devi and Sri Hanuman.

This form of Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) is known as Sri Guruvaayurappa. This pratima / statue one can see in the place called Guruvayoor at Kerala.

The meaning of this name is someone who is the father / controller of Sri Guru (here Guru means Sri Bruhaspati), Sri Vaayu (Sri Vaayu Deva).

And someone who is ‘appa’ or father / controller of both Sri Brihaspati and Sri Vaayu Deva.

(Sri Hanuman / Sri Bhima / Sri Madhvacharya Ji – all these three are the avatars of Sri Vaayu Deva / Sri Mukhyapraana Deva).

This if the form of Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) after killing the Rakshasa Hiranyakashipu.

After Sri Prahalaada Maharaja calms down Bhagavan, he takes this form of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Svami with calm face and body.

This form of Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) is also known as Sri Ugra Narasimha Swamy.

The face and body suggests that anybody who goes against the Dharma will definitely has to face as per the Karma.

Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) will always protect the Dharmic people and will always give punishment to the Adharmic people.

Here Bhagavan is shown with 16 hands (with 16 weapons).

Lord Sri Hari’s (Vishnu) this avatar is known as Sri Hayagriva Svami avatar.

Here Haya means ashva / horse face and ‘griva’ means someone has the form of Haya or horse and ‘svami’ means to give respect.

In this avatar of Sri Hayagriva Svami, Bhagavan will give the preachings of the Great Vedas to Sri Brahma Deva.

Sri Hayagriva Svami is shown with the Great Vedas in his hand.

This is also Sri Srinivasa / Sri Venkateshvara / Sri Balaji avatar (see above for details).

Here the great Vaishnava Saints are praying to Bhagavan.

This is the form of Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) / Sri Krishna in his Sri Panduranga or Sir Vittala form.

This pratima / statue one can see in the Pandarapura place of the today’s Maharashtra state.

Here Panduranga = Pandu + Ranga = Cloud just before the rain (Neela Megha Shyama) + Color.

That means, Panduranga is someone who has the color of clouds will just before the start of rain, that is, Neela Megha Shyama.

Vittala = Vi + Ttala = Vishwa + Holder. This means, Vittala is someone who is holding the unlimited universes (Multiverses).

Sri Rama Chandra Prabhu along with his consort Sri Sita Devi, Sri Hanuman, Sri Lakshmana (immediate right of Sri Rama),

Sri Bharata (left of Sri Rama) and Sri Shatrujna (far right of Sri Rama).

Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) along with Sri Sridevi (Sri Mahalakshmi Devi – left of Sri Hari), Sri Bhoodevi (right of Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu)),

Sri Brahma Deva (right of Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) – that is right of Sri Bhoodevi), Sri Sarasvati Devi (right of Sri Brahma Deva), Sri Hanuman.

Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) in his Sri Varaha Svami avatar.

This image is of after Bhagavan rescues Sri Bhoodevi (mother earth) from the clutches of the Rakshasa Hiranyaksha (brother of Hiranyakashipu).

Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) in his Sri Kurma / Divine tortoise avatar.

In this avatar Bhagavan Sri Kurma keep the mandara parvata (Mountain) on his back during the amrita manthana (Churning of Ambrosia).

The most beautiful form of Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) with chatur bhuja (With Shankha, Chakra, Gada and Padma).

This is Lord Sri Hari’s (Vishnu) Sri Matsya avatar / Divine fish form.

In this avatar Bhagavan Sri Matsya saves the world from the great Pralaya.

Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) with his ‘abhaya hasta’ form. Here ‘abhaya’ means someone who gives the protection against all the fears and ‘hasta’ means hand.

Here Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) is seen in this form along with Sri Mahalakshmi Devi.

Also seen are the Sri Brahma Deva, Sri Hanuman, Sri Garuda Deva and Sri Rudra Deva / Sri Shiva.

Sri Krishna and Rukmini Devi divine marriage (Done by Sri Brahma Deva).

Sri Krishna (Vishnu) is the father of Kama Deva.

There is no one who can match our Bhagavan in beauty or in any other criteria.

Hasan Mukhi Krishna. Sri Krishna teaches us in Srimad Bhagavad Gita, “Everybody should always keep on smiling, because whatever happens is for good itself”.

That’s why he is called as ‘Ananda’ (He will always be in divine happiness).

Sri Krishna always keeps his consorts (Divine wives) happy.

In the whole life there was not even a day when his consorts were in the sad environment.

Sri Krishna’s mother Yashoda Devi is one of the ‘Punyavati’ (Someone who has done the divine good deeds).

This is because, as she had got the chance to play, sing, sleep, eat, love etc. with Sri Krishna.

Sri Krishna will always be there to protect his devotees and to punish the ‘Adharmis’.

(Here Adharmis means, someone who are against the Dharma).

Sri Rama is called as ‘Eka patni vratasta’ (He is the one who has married just once in his Rama avatar).

Just chanting his name with full devotion will make happy forever.

Sri Panduranga (Sri Krishna) being prayed by Lord Shiva, Sri Brahma Deva and his other devotees.

Sri Krishna is called as Sri Muralidhara as he holds the ‘Venu’ (Name of the Murali) in his hand.

Also he saves Go (Cows) and he is also known as Gopala.

There was a divine lady called Andal in South India and she was loving Sri Krishna and wished to marry him.

Lord Sri Hari (Vishnu) in Vaikuntha and on Kshrisagara (Divine milky ocean).

He is prayed by Sri Maha Lakshmi Devi, Sri Brahma Deva, Sri Shesha Naga, Sri Garuda Raja and Devarshi Sri Narada.
