Bhagavan Lord Sri Krishna (Vishnu / Rama), we also need your protection and love! In this highly testing times, it is only you Lord Sri Krishna who can protect us from this pandemic and diseases.

That day you protected Prahlada, you protected Dhruva, you protected Pancha Pandavas and many many others.

Our dear Lotus eyed-one Bhagavan Lord Sri Krishna, we also need your shelter at your lotus feet and protect us from this unnatural disaster which is creating havoc all over the world. We seek your blessings by chanting your divine name “Sri Krishnaya Namaha“.

Let us all chant “Sri Krishnaya Namaha”. Help us, protect us, save us, love us, bless us, always be with us ‘O Bhagavan Sri Krishna’!!!

Let us see the prayer in three different languages, that is, in Sanskrit, Kannada and English:

In Sanskrit: मृत्युञ्जयो रक्षतु मृत्युपाशाद् वाणी जनेभ्यः प्रददातु बुद्धम् |
वायुश्च कूर्याद् विषकीटनाशं लक्ष्मी नृसिंहः सुजनान् सदाव्यात् ||

अर्थ : मृतुन्जय (महादेव / शिव) मानव जाति को मृत्यु दर से बचाना चाहिए, वाणी (सरस्वती देवी) सभ लोगों को उचित बुद्धि दें, वायु देव हमें विषभरीत कीटाणुओसे रक्षा करें, भगवान लक्ष्मि नरसिंह सज्जनों को सदा रक्षा करें ।

ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ: ಮೃತ್ಯುಂಜಯೋ ರಕ್ಷತು ಮೃತ್ಯುಪಾಶಾದ್‌ ವಾಣೀ ಜನೇಭ್ಯಃ ಪ್ರದದಾತು ಬುದ್ಧಿಮ್‌ |
ವಾಯುಶ್ಚಕುರ್ಯಾದ್‌ ವಿಷಕೀಟನಾಶಂ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀನೃಸಿಂಹಃ ಸುಜನಾನ್‌ ಸದಾವ್ಯಾತ್‌ ||

ಅರ್ಥ : ಮೃತ್ಯುಂಜಯ (ಮಹಾದೇವ / ಶಿವ) ಮನುಕುಲವನ್ನು ಮೃತ್ಯುಪಾಶದಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿ, ವಾಣೀ (ಸರಸ್ವತಿ ದೇವಿ) ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಿ, ವಾಯು ದೇವರು (ಮುಖ್ಯಪ್ರಾಣ ದೇವರು) ವಿಷಕೀಟಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶ ಮಾಡಲಿ, ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀನರಸಿಂಹ ದೇವರು ಸಜ್ಜನರನ್ನು ಸದಾ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿ.

Prayer in English: mr̥tyun̄jayō rakṣatu mr̥tyupāśād vāṇī janēbhyaḥ pradadātu bud’dhim | vāyuśca kuryād viṣakīṭanāśaṁ lakṣmīnr̥sinhaḥ sujanān sadā̕vyāt ||

Meaning : Mrutunjaya (Mahadeva / Shiva) should save mankind from mortality, let Vani (Saraswati Devi) give proper mindset to the people, let the god of air (Vayu Deva) destroy the harmful viruses, may God Sri Lakshmi Narasimha save all the sajjanas (divine people).

(Repeat the above shloka / sloka / hymn / stotram minimum 21 times morning and evening everyday to get rid of Corona or any other diseases.)

Foresight of our Ancestors (Hinduism / Sanatana Dharma):

Clear instructions taught by puranas and Vedas in 5000 BC to prevent Pandemic by maintaining perfect hygiene.

1. लवणं व्यञ्जनं चैव घृतं तैलं तथैव च । लेह्यं पेयं च विविधं हस्तदत्तं न भक्षयेत् ।। धर्मसिन्धू ३पू. आह्निक

ಲವಣಂ ವ್ಯಂಜನಂ ಚೈವ ಘೃತಂ ತೈಲಂ ತಥೈವ ಚ । ಲೇಹ್ಯಂ ಪೇಯಂ ಚ ವಿವಿಧಂ ಹಸ್ತದತ್ತಂ ನ ಭಕ್ಷಯೇತ್ ।। ಧರ್ಮಸಿಂಧೂ 3 ಪೂ. ಆಹ್ನಿಕ

Lavaṇaṁ vyan̄janaṁ caiva ghr̥taṁ tailaṁ tathaiva ca। lēhyaṁ pēyaṁ ca vividhaṁ hastadattaṁ na bhakṣayēt।। dharmasindhū 3 pū. Āhnika

Meaning : Salt, ghee, oil, rice and other food items should not be served with bare hand. Use spoons to serve.

2. अनातुरः स्वानि खानि न स्पृशेदनिमित्ततः ।। मनुस्मृति ४/१४४ – ಅನಾತುರಃ ಸ್ವಾನಿ ಖಾನಿ ನ ಸ್ಪೃಶೇದನಿಮಿತ್ತತಃ ।। ಮನುಸ್ಮೃತಿ 4/144 – Anāturaḥ svāni khāni na spr̥śēdanimittataḥ।। manusmr̥ti 4/144

Meaning : Without a reason don’t touch your own indriyas (organs like eyes, nose, ears, etc.).

3. अपमृज्यान्न च स्न्नातो गात्राण्यम्बरपाणिभिः ।। मार्कण्डेय पुराण ३४/५२ – ಅಪಮೃಜ್ಯಾನ್ನ ಚ ಸ್ನಾತೋ ಗಾತ್ರಾಣ್ಯಮ್ಬರಪಾಣಿಭಿಃ ।। ಮಾರ್ಕಂಡೇಯ ಪುರಾಣ 34/52 – Apamr̥jyānna ca snātō gātrāṇyambarapāṇibhiḥ।। mārkaṇḍēya purāṇa 34/52

Meaning : Don’t use clothes already worn by you & dry yourself after a bath.

4. हस्तपादे मुखे चैव पञ्चाद्रे भोजनं चरेत् ।। पद्म०सृष्टि.५१/८८
नाप्रक्षालितपाणिपादो भुञ्जीत ।। सुश्रुतसंहिता चिकित्सा २४/९८

ಹಸ್ತಪಾದೇ ಮುಖೇ ಚೈವ ಪಂಚಾದ್ರೆ ಭೋಜನಂ ಚರೇತ್ ।। ಪದ್ಮಸೃಷ್ಟಿ.51/88
ನಾಪ್ರಕ್ಷಾಲಿತಪಾಣಿಪಾದೋ ಭುಂಜೀತ ।। ಸುಶ್ರುತಸಂಹಿತಾ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ 24/98

Hastapādē mukhē caiva pan̄cādre bhōjanaṁ carēt।। padmasr̥ṣṭi.51/88
Nāprakṣālitapāṇipādō bhun̄jīta।। suśrutasanhitā cikitsā 24/98

Meaning : Wash your hands, feet, mouth before you eat.

5. स्न्नानाचारविहीनस्य सर्वाः स्युः निष्फलाः क्रियाः ।। वाघलस्मृति ६९ – ಸ್ನಾನಾಚಾರವಿಹೀನಸ್ಯ ಸರ್ವಾಃ ಸ್ಯುಃ ನಿಷ್ಫಲಾಃ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಃ ।। ವಾಘಲಸ್ಮೃತಿ ೬೯ – Snānācāravihīnasya sarvāḥ syuḥ niṣphalāḥ kriyāḥ।। vāghalasmr̥ti 69

Meaning : Without a bath or Snan and Shuddhi, all Karmas (duties) done are Nishphal (no use).

6. न धारयेत् परस्यैवं स्न्नानवस्त्रं कदाचन || पद्म० सृष्टि.५१/८६ – ನ ಧಾರಯೇತ್ ಪರಸ್ಯೈವಂ ಸ್ನಾನವಸ್ತ್ರಂ ಕದಾಚನ || ಪದ್ಮ೦ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ.51/86 – Na dhārayēt parasyaivaṁ snānavastraṁ kadācana || padma0 sr̥ṣṭi.51/86

Meaning : Don’t use the cloth (like towel) used by another person for drying yourself after a bath.

7. अन्यदेव भवद्वासः शयनीये नरोत्तम । अन्यद् रथ्यासु देवानाम अर्चायाम् अन्यदेव हि ।। महाभारत अनु १०४/८६

ಅನ್ಯದೇವ ಭವದ್ವಾಸಃ ಶಯನೀಯೇ ನರೋತ್ತಮ । ಅನ್ಯದ್ ರಥ್ಯಾಸು ದೇವಾನಾಮ ಅರ್ಚಯಾಮ್ ಅನ್ಯದೇವ ಹಿ ।। ಮಹಾಭಾರತ ಅನು 104/86

An’yadēva bhavadvāsaḥ śayanīyē narōttama। an’yad rathyāsu dēvānāma arcayām an’yadēva hi।। mahābhārata anu 104/86

Meaning : Use different clothes while sleeping, while going out, while doing pooja.

8. तथा न अन्यधृतं (वस्त्रं धार्यम्) ।। महाभारत अनु १०४/८६ – ತಥಾ ನ ಅನ್ಯಧೃತಂ (ವಸ್ತ್ರಂ ಧಾರ್ಯಮ್) ।। ಮಹಾಭಾರತ ಅನು 104/86 – Tathā na an’yadhr̥taṁ (vastraṁ dhāryam)।। mahābhārata anu 104/86

Meaning : Don’t wear clothes worn by others.

9. न अप्रक्षालितं पूर्वधृतं वसनं बिभृयाद् ।। विष्णुस्मृति ६४ – ನ ಅಪ್ರಕ್ಷಾಲಿತಂ ಪೂರ್ವಧೃತಂ ವಸನಂ ಬಿಭೃಯಾದ್ ।। ವಿಷ್ಣುಸ್ಮೃತಿ ೬೪ – Na aprakṣālitaṁ pūrvadhr̥taṁ vasanaṁ bibhr̥yād।। viṣṇusmr̥ti 64

Meaning : Clothes once worn should not be worn again before washing.

10. न आद्रं परिदधीत ।। गोभिसगृह्यसूत्र ३/५/२४ – ನ ಆದ್ರಂ ಪರಿದಧೀತ ।। ಗೋಭಿಸಗೃಹ್ಯಸೂತ್ರ 3/5/24 – Na ādraṁ paridadhīta।। gōbhisagr̥hyasūtra 3/5/24

Meaning : Don’t wear wet clothes.

These precautions were taught to every Indian five thousand years ago in the Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism).

We were forewarned about importance of maintaining personal hygiene, when no microscopes existed, but our ancestors using Vedic knowledge prescribed these Dharma as Sadacharam (सदाचारं / sadācāraṁ) and followed these !
