Sri Rama family tree (lineage)
Namaste friends, how are you doing today? Bhagavan Sri Rama blessings to you and your family!
Bhagavan Sri Rama is the svayam (direct) avatar of Bhagavan Sri Vishnu. Bhagavan Sri Rama is the 7th avatar of Bhagavan Sri Vishnu.
Just chanting ‘Sri Rama’ name will anyone mukti / moksha (divine liberation) and we can easily find a place in Vaikuntha.
Bhagavan Sri Rama is called ‘Purushottama’, as he is the best among all starting from Sri Maha Lakshmi Devi, Sri Brahma Deva, Sri Rudra Deva, etc etc etc. He is also called as ‘Sarvottama’ or ‘Sarveshwara’ for the same reason.
He takes birth in the great vamsha (lineage) of great Raghu, Ikshvaku, Sagara, etc. Let’s know that great vamsha (lineage).
Bhagavan Sri Rama’s family tree actually starts from Bhagavan Sri Narayana (Vishnu). Here let us see the tree / lineage from Dasharatha:
Bhagavan Sri Rama Chandra
Kusha and Lava
Atithi – Son of Kusha
Ahinaagu, Roopa and Rooru
Brihadbala – Fought Kurukshetra and was killed by Pandavas
Prasenjita III – Contemporary of Buddha
*Sumitra was the last king of Ayodhya from Surya Vamsha. In the fourth century BC, emperor Mahapadma Nanda of the Nanda Dynasty forced Sumitra to leave Ayodhya. He went to Rahtas with his sons. His son Kurma established his rule over Rohtas.
The above same list is again reproduced in the photo image format as below for your understanding:
The great family of Ishvaku, Raghu, Dasharata, Sri Ramachandra prabhu.
We should be highly proud of been born in this Great nation and in this Great vamsha / family, where svayam Sri Hari has been born as Sri Ramachandra Prabhu and also in different avatars.
Jai Sri Rama.
