Just before moving towards to know about “Why should we (I) follow Hinduism (Sanatana Dharma) | Why Hinduism (Sanatana Dharma) is important to Hindus and the world“, let us know few basic and important information.
Hinduism (Sanatana Dharma) is existing since ‘adi kalam‘ (grand unknown age) and will exist until the ‘ananta kalam‘ (grand infinite age).
Hinduism (Sanatana Dharma) Vedas are the only scriptures which are known to human beings which is existing since the unknown ancient period.
Vedas are divinely written in the the most divine language of earth called Sanskrit (Samskrutam) (Samskruta) (संस्कृत) (ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ) (Sanskr̥ta) .
The known four Hindu Vedas are: Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, Atharvaveda.
Hinduism (Sanatana Dharma) Mahabharata, Ramayana, Puranas, etc. are the divine texts which gives us best examples for mankind to lead a happy, prosperous, satisfied life throughout the lifespan.
In Hinduism, there are two historic classifications of Hindu texts (granthas) that is –
First is Shruti (Which is heard) and second is Smriti (Which is remembered).
The first Shruti refers to the body of most authoritative, ancient religious texts, believed to be eternal knowledge authored not by human(s), but transmitted by divine Rishis (Sages) since unknown time.
Dharma is so called, because it holds anything and everything on this earth or in fact in this whole unlimited Universes.
Dharma alone holds the people of the earth or as a matter of fact the entire Multiverse.
The word Sanskrit word ‘Dharma’ is derived from the root ‘Dhr (धृ / ಧೃ / dhr̥)‘.
Here Dhr (धृ / ಧೃ / dhr̥) means to hold the complete mankind (living and nonliving), not just of the earth, but of the whole Multiverse (Infinite number of Universes).
Dharma etymological meaning is ‘that which holds’ this world, this Multiverse, or the people on the earth, or the whole creation from the microcosm to the macrocosm.
Dharma is the ‘Eternal Divine Law of the Lord Vishnu‘.
The entire creation is held together and sustained by the All-powerful Law of Lord Vishnu himself.
Practice of Dharma, therefore, means identification of this Law of Lord Vishnu and also abiding it through out our life.
Why should we follow Hinduism (Sanatana Dharma) reasons are as given below:

Real Dharma of peace : The Hinduism Sanatana Dharma is for those who want to:
Follow the real Dharma of Peace. The most peaceful of all religions. Not just by saying, but also in reality.
Dharma founded by Bhagavan (God) himself : Follow a Sanatana Dharma founded by Lord Sri Vishnu himself and not a man.
Guru is the core : Follow a Sanatana Dharma with unlimited Gurus sent by Lord Sri Vishnu himself.
And not just one and also we had Gurus in the past, we are having them presently and also we will have them in the future too.
Scriptures spoken by God himself : Follow a scripture (Bhagavad Gita) spoken by Lord (God) Sri Vishnu himself in person.
Follow a Dharma that has existed for unlimited number of years and not just a few thousands or hundreds of years.
Know and talk to God personally : Follow the original Dharma of Lord (God) Sri Vishnu. Know and love Bhagavan (God) personally, rather than just a name and also talk to God personally.
Know different avatars of God : Know exactly who the Lord Sri Vishnu is. His description, history, scheduled incarnations and so on.
Vasudaiva Kutumbakam : Consider all living beings including the animals a parivar (family), that is Vasudaiva Kutumbakam (all unlimited universes are a single parivar / family).
God created all living and non-living beings : Believe that Lord (God) Sri Vishnu created all living beings and thus we are all his sons and daughters.
Hinduism is like a cycle : Know when exactly is the Day of Judgement and also know when the new creation takes place.
The Dharma teaches that after the end of the universe, a new fresh universe is born again and again and again… Hinduism is like a cycle.
Know the hierarchy : Know exactly why some are born poor / diseased / rich and so on.
Follow scientifically proven ideologies : Follow scientifically proven ideologies (Vegetarianism, Karma, Reincarnation, Yoga…)
Know all answers without any speculation : Know all the answers and no speculation through Vedas, Mahabharata, Ramayana, Puranas, etc.
God is eternal : Sanatana Dharma – The Dharma Established by Lord Sri Vishnu in each Cycle in every Universe.
Lord (God) Sri Vishnu is eternal, meaning he has always existed, now also he is existing and also he will exist in the future too and for ever.
Law is eternal : The laws created by Lord Sri Vishnu for man to follow (Dharma) must be eternal.
Teachings are eternal : Lord Sri Vishnu’s teachings (scriptures) are eternally existing since the ancient period.
Man knows God eternally : If Lord Sri Vishnu has eternally existed, then Man must have known him eternally.
Dharma is eternal : That eternal Dharma which was created by the eternal Lord Sri Vishnu is called Sanatana Dharma (the eternal Dharma).
This is also known as the Vedic religion or Hinduism (This is a modern name) or Bharatiya Sanatana Dharma.
The eternal teachings of Lord Sri Vishnu or scriptures are known as the Vedic scriptures.
That person who has eternally been known by man to be Lord is Sri Vishnu / Sri Hari / Sri Krishna / Sri Rama.
The Vedic religion has been proven to be the oldest (before grand infinite) in the world and the oldest scriptures on the Planet are the Vedic scriptures (Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda and Atharvaveda).
These Vedic scriptures are written in the oldest language known to man, Samskruta / Sanskrit.
The most systematic and well calculated language in the world is Sanskrit (Samskruta).
Don’t follow a cheap and unknown personality or God or one that was recently created by man.
Don’t follow an invisible God because the real God is a visible supreme personality who has been seen and proven.
The scientists estimate the age of the Universe to be at least 15 Billion years.
So why did it take Bhagavan (God) 15 Billion years to create his Dharma and send just one Prophet or son of God?
The truth is that Bhagavan (God) already created his Dharma at the beginning of creation and not just a few thousand years ago and that Dharma is the ‘Vedic Dharma‘ (Vaidika Dharma).
A Simple Way to Determine the Truth. The truth is that which has always existed.
2+2=4 is true today, it was true 5000 years ago, it was true 5 trillion years ago, and it will be true in 5 trillion years of time in the future too.
Thus that which is existing today but did not exist 5000 years ago cannot be the truth.
Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism) is existing today, it existed 5000 years ago, it existed 5 trillion years ago and it will exist in 5 trillion years time to come.
Sanatana Dharma is the only truth and all others are only nullified theories.
