Just before going to “Sanskrit is best language for computers (AI, coding)“, let us know a brief, basic and very important information.

We must have always heard that Samskruta / Sanskrit is the best language to be used in computers, artificial intelligence, coding etc.

But have we questioned someone or ourselves, how is this Samskruta / Sanskrit language is the best language for computers, artificial intelligence, coding, etc.?

Have we ever given a thought that how can Sanskrit is the best language even today and it is the best language gifted to the mankind.

As per Hindu scriptures, Sanskrit is the language which is spoken in upper planets like Svarga Loka, Brahma Loka, Vaikuntha Loka, etc.

List of reasons for “How Sanskrit best language for computers [Artificial intelligence (AI) / coding]” are as given below:

Each letter of Sanskrit has it’s unique way of pronunciation unlike other languages like English

Computer (Machines) can understand Sanskrit very easily

Computer can easily recognize all the alphabets of Sanskrit

Computer needs least time to grasp the words (alphabets) of Sanskrit

There is no two types of pronunciation in Sanskrit unlike few other languages like English

The Sanskrit grammar is logical, formula bound and rule-bound

This makes Sanskrit highly suitable to write algorithms, coding, etc.

This drives the software engineers to write the coding with highest ease.

Now, let us learn step-by-by “How Sanskrit is the best language for computers, artificial intelligence (AI), coding”:

Let us understand how?

In Sanskrit the main letters are as below:

|| क(ka) ख(kha) ग(ga) घ(gha) ङ(nga) ||

|| च(cha) छ(chha) ज(ja) झ(jha) ञ(nja) ||

|| ट(ta) ठ(tha) ड(da) ढ(dha) ण(na) ||

|| त(ta) थ(tha) द(da) ध(dha) न(na) ||

|| प(pa) फ(pha) ब(ba) भ(bha) म(ma) ||

|| य(ya) र(ra) ल(la) व(va) श(sha) ष(sha) स(sh) ह(ha) ||

Also let us take another example from the Kannada language as below:

Now, in both of the above two languages the letters used are the same, but only the lipi (script) is different. 

Remember the pronunciation remains the same in both of these languages.

(Here I am not going in the technicality of the letters of Sanskrit or Kannada.)

[But instead in this post I will be explaining, how the Sanskrit letters are best suited to the computers / Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Coding.]

Let’s continue now:

Here in the Sanskrit language or Kannada language or any Indian languages (but most important is from Sanskrit language), each letter has it’s own unique way of pronunciation. 

For example,

अ means अ only in Sanskrit language. Similarly आ means आ only. Likewise it is same for other letters also.

Also to pronounce : क ख ग घ ङ

we usually use the inner part of our mouth (try it yourself).

For pronouncing : च छ ज झ ञ 

we usually use the little inner part of our mouth (try it yourself).

For pronouncing : ट ठ ड ढ ण

we usually use the middle part of our mouth (try it yourself).

For pronouncing : त थ द ध न

we usually use the inner part of our teeth (try it yourself).

For pronouncing : प फ ब भ म

we usually use our upper and lower lips (try it yourself).

But in English it is not like that. They have mixture of 26 alphabets:

A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z

Here all these alphabets are different. 

But here, every alphabet the English people pronounce in different ways.

Means, for example A is pronounced as ए sometimes and sometimes A is pronounced a अ or आ. 

Sometimes in some other different ways also.

Similarly T is pronounced as त sometimes, and sometimes it is used as थ and also sometimes it is used as ट. 

Also, sometimes in other ways also.

Likewise other English alphabets are used in different ways. 

Here in the English language there is no unique way of pronouncing each alphabet. 

They pronounce it in one way sometimes and sometimes they use the alphabets in some other way.

For example the word ‘would’ is used to pronounce as ‘wud’. 

But, if the same English word is pronounced in Sanskrit way, then it would be pronounced as ‘wuld’ and not as ‘wud’.

Also if we take another example of English like ‘Alphabet’. 

Here the first letter is ‘A’, means ‘ए’. 

But the pronunciation of this English word would be आल्फबेट in Sanskrit and also in English. 

See the difference. 

The letter is A means ‘ए’, but they pronounce it is as आल्फबेट and not as एल्फबेट.

This is the difference between the Sanskrit language and the English language. There is a saying in Hindi, “हाथी के खाने की दांत अलग है, और दिखाने की दांत अलग है”. 

Means, the letters used in English language are different, whereas the pronunciation is different in English language most of the times.

But in Sanskrit or in Kannada or any of the Indian languages (except in few languages and that too in very few exceptions, but other than Sanskrit and Kannada) the letters and pronunciation remains the same always and through out.

But you may thinking what is this person trying to explain us. 

Yes, the truth and the secret is here. 

The machines / computers can understand क as क only, फ as फ only, भ as भ only.

And similarly like that all the letters and words are understood by computers as it is and not like the English alphabets or words.

The English alphabets or words are always (most of the time) different in their style of writing and in pronunciation.

This is the difference and this is where the machines / computers get confused because of this difference in spelling and pronunciation. 

While the Sanskrit bhasha (language) has no confusion. 

The machines / computers can understand this great Sanskrit language very very very easily. 

This is one of the reasons that the Sanskrit language is the greatest bhasha (language) of the world.

No other language in the world has a similar way of writing and pronouncing the letters and words like our great Sanskrit language.

We should always be proud of our greatest nation Bharata and our greatest Sanskrit bhasha (language). 

The Sanskrit language is known as ‘Deva bhasha’ (means the God own language). It is very simple and easy to write, read and speech with little bit of practice.

We shouldn’t be neglecting this language even for a single day in our life. Let us learn and teach Sanskrit forever.

Specialty of Sanskrit language are as given below:

The greatest specialty of Sanskrit language and literature is that topics like:

grammar, philosophy, poetics, law, astronomy, medicine, politics, mathematics, etc. have also been written in shlokas (verses) (hymns) itself.

Some of the renowned works are the various Sahitya-darpanam, Arthashastra (political economy), Charaka-samhita,

Smrities (law), Sushruta Samhita (medicines), Natyashastra (dramaturgy) Aryabhatiyam (astronomy), Rasagangadhara, Dhvanyaloka (poetics) etc.

Also the great Vedas, that is, Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda and Atharvaveda are in Sanskrit language itself.

Similarly Ramayana, Mahabharata, Puranas, Upanishads, etc. are all written in the song form in Sanskrit itself.
