Just before going to “What Hinduism says about Dharma and Dharma Works (investments) (miser)“, let us know a brief, basic and very important information.

We have always heard that we as been a Hindu, need to do Dharma and Dharma works. If we do Dharma and Dharma works, we can gain so and so things. And the contrary, if we don’t do Dharma we will gain so and so things.

All these things we have been hearing since many many years. But many of us never tried to more information about this.

In this post (article), let us understand the real meaning of Dharma and Dharma works and “What Hinduism says about Doing Dharma and Dharma works”.

“What one gives to others is the only thing he gets back”. There is a famous sarcastic saying about misers which goes like this: “A miser is a greater donor than a real Daata (donor)“!

Well, the reason is that a Daata (Donor) will give away his things to others and may be uses a little portion of his money.

Whereas, a miser guards his money his entire life and without he enjoying any bit of it, people take it away all his money and property after he dies.

A person who does not help others cannot be helped even by the Lord Sri Vishnu himself or by any other Devatas (Demigods).

Once there used to live a great miser, who never gave anything to anyone. He obviously reached Naraka (Hell) and was given huge unbearable punishments by Lord Sri Yama Deva’s soldiers.

The miser used to lament very much for his poor state and beg Lord Sri Vishnu everyday to save him from the Naraka (Hell).

Lord Sri Vishnu, as usual, took pity on the poor state of the miser and wanted to somehow find a way of help him. But even with a lot of effort, a few meetings with Chitragupta, finds nothing which the miser gave to anybody in order that Lord Sri Vishnu can give miser something good.

Finally, Lord Sri Vishnu managed to find a tiny piece of good that the miser did in one of his lives.

The miser once, somehow, gave a small piece of spoiled banana to somebody. Lord Sri Vishnu, seeing it as an opportunity to help the lamenting miser in Naraka (Hell), made a stick appear before him — with which he could climb out of Naraka (Hell).

The miser very happy to have received the fortune, quickly began climbing the stick. Other people in the Naraka (Hell), who were also longing to get out of Naraka (Hell), tried to use the stick to get out.

The miser started pushing down all the other people and was saying that “the stick was provided for me by Lord Sri Vishnu, and you cannot use it”. Immediately the stick disappears and the miser was back in the Naraka (Hell).

Everywhere same thing is happening even today also.

In MNCs, schools, colleges, offices everywhere people want only themselves to climb the tree of competition. These types of people don’t want others to reach to their own destination.

Remember my dear friends, the more we try to bring down others, the more we ourselves will fall into greater and greater ditches.

Lord Sri Vishnu knows everything, he will give us only as per our yogyata / merit. But one should never ever try to bring someone down. Never try to be in unhealthy competition.

In making ourselves more stronger and stronger, many a times we will loose everything what we might have earned throughout our lives.

For few people this may look completely illogical. But remember, our Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism) teaches only about truth.

Sanatana Dharma teaches about ‘tattva’ (divine truth), which is completely logical and also have lots of experimental facts of unlimited number of years.

What is given in our Great Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism) has always proved 100% correct and there is no question about this.

In our Sanatana Dharma it has always said that:

धर्मो रक्षति रक्षितः | ಧರ್ಮೋ ರಕ್ಷತಿ ರಕ್ಷಿತಃ | dharmō rakṣati rakṣitaḥ |

Meaning : Someone who follows the Great Dharma (Sanatana Dharma) (Hinduism), that person will be definitely protected by Great Dharma itself. Be careful before pulling someone down.

Maadit unnu maharaaya (Kannada) | Jaise karni, vaise bharni (Hindi) | As you sow, so you shall reap |
