Just before moving towards to know about “Doing Gau (Cow) Pradakshina (circumambulation) facts, importance, greatness | What are the benefits of Gau Pooja?“, let us know a brief, basic and very important information.

In Hinduism, for Mother Gau (Cow) a great and divine place is been given. Gau (Cow) milk gives us yogurt, butter, ghee, buttermilk, cheese, cream, ice cream and various other products.

In modern industrial processes, milk is used to produce casein, whey protein, lactose, condensed milk, powdered milk and many other food additives and industrial products.

By taking a verse (shloka) from the Varaha Purana, let us today know what are the benefits if we do Gau (Cow) Pradakshina (circumambulation).

Lord Sri Varaha Swami or Sri Bhuvaraha Swami is an incarnation of Lord Sriman Narayana (Vishnu).

Lord Sri Varaha Swami (Sri Bhuvaraha Swami) has no difference with Lord Sriman Narayana (vishnu). They both are one and the same with different avatars.

Come on dear friends, let’s see what benefits we can get by doing Pradakshina (circumambulation) of Gau (Cow) as per the Sri Varaha Purana.

In the Sri Varaha Purana, the hymn (shloka) of Lord Sri Varaha Swami speaking to Sri Bhudevi is as given below:

kalyamut’thāya yō martyaḥ kuryāt‌ tāsāṁ pradakṣiṇam‌ |
pradakṣiṇīkr̥tā tēna pr̥thivī syād‌ vasundarē ||

Meaning of the above hymn (shloka) or verse: By waking up early in the morning and by doing the Pradakshina (circumambulation) in namaste position to Gau (Cow), we will get the same benefits (fruits) if we do the Pradakshina (circumambulation) of the whole earth.

pradakṣiṇēna caikēna śrad’dhāyuktēna tat‌-kṣaṇāt‌ |
daśajanmakr̥taṁ pāpaṁ tasya naśyatyasanśayam‌ ||

Meaning of the above hymn (shloka) or verse: If we do the namaste (salutations) with least or no devotion it’s of no use at all.

If we do namaste with full devotion and diligence to Gau (Cow) and all the Devatas (Demigods) present in Gau (Cow), the sin of the ten births is obliterated by doing that one Pradakshina (Circumambulation) and namaste (salutation). No need to have any doubt about this.

This is said by Lord Sri Varaha Swami to his consort Sri Bhudevi in the Sri Varaha Purana.

The provider of infinite fruits to all the jeevas (living beings), that is, Lord Srimann Narayana / Vishnu (Sri Varaha / Sri Bhuvaraha Swami) directly saying this.

More information will be added to this on regular basis. Please do visit after some time.
